The Justice Foundation                         Contact us

The Justice Foundation (formerly the Texas Justice Foundation) was founded in 1993 to protect the fundamental freedoms and rights essential to the preservation of American society. The Foundation represents clients free of charge in cases in the areas of limited government, free markets, private property, parental school choice, parental rights in education, and enforcing laws to protect women’s health. The Justice Foundation is a nonprofit, public-interest litigation firm supported by tax-deductible contributions.

Mission Statement

The Justice Foundation seeks to mobilize citizens, through financial and service contributions to provide free legal representation in landmark cases to protect and restore justice.

Philosophy

We seek to protect, through litigation and education, those fundamental freedoms and rights essential to the preservation of American society.

We Believe In ...

The Rule of Law

We believe the purpose of the judiciary is to protect existing constitutional rights to remain faithful to the original intent of “We the People.” The separation of powers and the process of changing our Constitution by amendment must be honored. Judges who impose their own views on society, under the guise of law, undermine the rule of law and impose the rule of men. Our Constitution must reflect the will of the people, not the judiciary.

Limited Government, Free Markets, Religious Liberty

We believe Thomas Jefferson’s precept, “That government is best which governs least.” Constitutional and legal constraints on government power should be fully enforced. We support free markets and freedom of religious expression.

Parental Rights in Education

We support the fundamental and natural right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their own children. We believe parents are the best protectors of children and have the natural right and duty to care for their children.

Educational Freedom

We believe in the regeneration of American education through parental school choice and child-centered funding (funding students rather than districts).

"The philosophy of the schoolhouse in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next." –  Abraham Lincoln

Private Property Rights

We believe the fundamental right of property ownership is essential to a free society.
